Findon Orangery

The Challenge

The clients wanted another room to bring more light into the property and to take advantage of their beautiful South facing garden. We had to remove the chimney stack and ensure that the orangery was sympathetic to the existing house.

The Solution

Working with our Design team, we were able to create this sympathetically designed space giving the clients the additional room they needed as well as a sun trap to be used throughout the year. The wooden frame was made from accoya wood which is incredibly resilient. It does not expand or contract in differing temperatures and is an ideal wood to use for orangeries. The glass was all A rated to ensure that it was energy efficient and keeps the correct temperature throughout the year – not too hot in summer or too cold in winter.

We have been subsequently asked back by the clients to undertake more work both internally and externally at their property

“Recommended by our architect, we were provided a competitive quote to build our garden room, which we accepted, and we were not disappointed. The quality of work was impeccable and meticulous, aided by polite and courteous staff; our neighbours mentioned many a time how impressed they were by the relative lack of noise, not to mention how good the project was looking. At all stages of build, Tony and Mark took great care to advise on work in progress, mention any possible problems in advance (few and easily resolved) and ensure we were entirely satisfied.  Our project was completed on schedule and as per quote. We cannot praise the company highly enough and are delighted with the building project it completed for us..”
